Shishir Sir as Described by Aakriti Srivastava (BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus) (Conceptum 2016 Batch)

Shishir Sir, a man who has a perfect blend of logic and philosophy. A person with matchless dexterity in his subjects, Maths and Physics. His proficiency lies not in his way of analysing and solving problems in a couple of minutes with utmost simplicity but in the manner he can induce the attributes in his disciples. Priority, Organization and Commitment are some of the nouns whose symbolic value we learn through him. No matter what stands across him, the academic schedule never suffers, be it any of the subjects. Many a times, he can be spotted counselling his students as to how “Knowledge doesn't make any difference, only Actions do”. Justifying his actions, he leaves no stone unturned in bringing up the best faculty and study material for the students. In accordance with Newton's third law, his actions cause an equal and opposite reaction in the shape of exceptional result from CE soaring higher as each year passes by successfully. Shishir Sir has made us realise a bounty of things through his evergreen dialogues. “FEAR- False Evidences Appearing Real” and “Resistance is Persistence” are some of his dialogues which hold an inexplicable importance in our transformation throughout two years. His ideology shows how happiness and study can complement each other and lead to increased productivity. The mere fact of quitting elaborate and luxurious life to cater to his own city and coach the children to be better human beings before inanimate engineers is commendable and more than enough to highlight the humility in his character. He invests his personal time, energy, money and particularly a significant part of his youth with his subjects. He exactly knows what matter may concern a student's sub conscious mind and how to deal with the same. I have always wondered how can he be such a competent manager despite being an engineer. His plans just never fail. What is really admirable about Shishir Sir is the simplistic manner in which he can connect every single aspect of life to precise logic. He can simplify everything ranging from complex functions in the classroom to everyday issues at the centre. On our level, it seems effortless and a cakewalk but genuinely it requires an enormous amount of perseverance, hard work and possibly innumerable sleepless nights to ensure our well being. I cannot attempt to say Thank you because, a word of thank you is minuscule in view of the selfless love and care bestowed upon us by him. A word of thank you is not capable of bringing to light the familiar attachment we experience and our gratitude coupled with it. A word of thank you cannot reciprocate the evolution CE has given rise to within us.

Stuti Ma'am as Described by Aakriti Srivastava (BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus) (Conceptum 2016 Batch)

5 reasons why Stuti Ma’am is the lifeline of CE? 1. Stuti Ma’am possesses a prominent aura attached to her personality. Something magical which lets you believe that you too belong to the world out there and instils in you the conviction- “You are the one”. Her words infuse a unique feeling of self-assurance and self-belief in you. I remember coming for the first day to CE and giving up thereafter. The fact that SHE did not give up on me saying “Obstacle is the path” was enough motivation for me. 2. Being the non-academic coach, she might not always get as much time with her children as the academic mentors but never fails to fulfil her duty of transforming soldiers into real life warriors. She has ample experiences illustrating that being bookworms won't help you in creating your own identity in the world beyond the window. A conversation with her is an insight into your own “state of being”. 3. Among her numerous attributes, the most remarkable quality is her ability to organise and manage multiple tasks that too with a beautiful smile on her face which melts hearts. Several discussions with her over capture tool (a tool maintained to manage work) and test analysis have been effective not only in academics but in daily life too. She is a professional trainer for communication skills, can effectively analyse wherein a student can get stuck and do the needful. Moreover, despite her busy schedule she is almost all the time available for the students to clear away their problems. 4. There is absolute transparency and no trace of boundaries between the students and the coach which indeed highlights the true spirit of training. After a usual interaction with Stuti Ma’am it feels as if..... "Life was never so simple before". I admire her simplicity and can never forget her saying “Itna mushkil nahi hota kuch bhi jitna tum use soch-soch kar bana dete ho”. Sessions with her have never been monotonous but always fun-filled, informative with a plan to expand your awareness. 5. Stuti Ma’am also carries a ‘feel good factor’ with her, so you can’t feel down when she’s around. Her impartiality and constant urge for incorporating the spirit of oneness among ourselves is commendable. She always says “I’m your coach and I CAN SEE the spark YOU CANNOT SEE within yourself and ignite it. Even if you give up for once, I will not give up on you” and makes you think out of the box and do what you thought was never possible. After my two years at CE, it feels amazing being able to identify that there is someone who will always stand by you, support you and not drop you to the destination but guide you onto the right path and let you leave your own footprints.

One of many reasons you find yourself lucky is to be coached by a teacher who has been a Gold medalist throughout and a doctorate in a small town like Roorkee. She’s absolutely the one who makes you feel worth of staying back and not migrating to cities which have made a business of education. She has outstanding mannerisms of teaching Chemistry. Her understanding of variety of levels of numerical makes her unparalled. Her lectures always convey special tricks or concepts regarding the chapter. She holds classes efficiently clarifies all the doubts of the entire week and is never behind the schedule. Namita ma’am is an epitome of calmness. She never considers a doubt silly or stupid. It’s commendable to see how she never lets her personal life interfere with her performance in the classroom. Commuting from Haridwar on a regular basis isn’t easy taking into account there are factors which are out of your control, regardless there hasn’t been a single day when she did not arrive on time. K C Sharma Sir as Described by Harsh Saini (IITR, Conceptum 2017 Batch)

Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber and future of an individual. An average teacher tells, a good teacher explains and a great teacher demonstrates and inspires. An ideal teacher can inspire to hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning. He must be able to put himself in the place of those who find learning hard. Dr. KC SHARMA, Chemistry Facilitator in CE is one of them. He is an expert with extensive experience and provides us adequate training with discussion and doubt clearing. The way in which he conducts his lectures is quite simple and understanding. His lectures are well planned and sufficient. His deeper understanding of concepts and its application makes him entirely a different teacher. He understand the pressure and stress student go through at the crucial juncture of their life. He also knows the situation wherein students finds themselves stuck and dis-empowered. He makes us practice persistently with a variety of questions. The only motive in his life is to make his students well acquainted and masters in chemistry. According to him there is only one point of difference between a normal and a brilliant student. A Brilliant student is more persistent and works on his/her weakness. While a normal student does not work it to perfection and ignores his/her weaknesses. His mythological tales makes it easy to relate our question solving attitude with our daily lives. He always tells us the importance of revision by saying “Khud ko SHREE GANESH mat samjho ki ek baar padha aur yaad ho jaaye ” and reminds us to revise the chapters on regular basis. At this old an age, if he can teach us with this sort of matchless enthusiasm enables us to think why cannot we learn. His thought invoking words “ Agar tum ye soch rahe ho ki tum kisi kaam ko tab karna shuru karoge , jab tumhari koi Galti na nikal sake, to tum kabhi Safal nahi ho sakte ” made me learn that if I get stuck in between, I should not stop and one day I will reach my goal. He moulded my approach, boosted my confidence and enabled me to emerge out of the pool of negative thoughts which I had developed towards chemistry. His lectures made me grasp the concepts instead of just mugging it up in a clueless manner. Through his sessions, he inculcated vitality, enthusiasm, clarity and willingness of a champion giving a peak into his multifarious personality. He taught me to think, to remain focused, to remain calm, to manage time and to be a winner in life.
